Although it is a young city, Horgos does not lack creativity. Since 2020, local authorities have been building a Nang-making Industrial Park featuring food production and sales.

The park with total investment for 150 million yuan covers an area of more than 70 mu. It has ten functional areas, including Nang culture museum, production basis, visitor experience center, local agricultural products exhibition area, recreational area and so on.

Since this year, Horgos Nang-making Industrial Park has exported nearly 6 million Nang products to Central Asian countries, and it is expected that the annual export sales volume of Nang products can reach more than 10 million.

Now, Horgos Nang-making Industrial Park drives the development of surrounding industries, including agricultural and sideline product processing, cultural and tourist industry, as well as the real industries. The number of workers has increased from three to four to nearly thirty, and the profits have been greatly increased as well,” said Zhang Guoqing, general manager of Horgos Jin Qiaomai Food Co., LTD.

At the same time, local authorities has been constantly providing preferential policies and supports to enterprises in the Park. Thanks to Human and Social Security Department of Horgos City, recently, 2000 workers have been trained in making Nang and baking.

Local authorities also has unceasingly adopted relevant measurements to ensure efficient customs clearance of Nang products.

Besides, under the policy of further promoting the high-quality development in Horgos, Horgos has been highlighted in developing Nang-making industry, which has been listed as one of ten most important industries in Xinjiang.

Now, Horgos Nang-making Industrial Park has established long-term cooperative relationship with Xinjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences. They will sign cooperation agreements to increase the technology content and value of Nang-making Industry.
